that photo of Willow Smith laying down on a bed near a shirtless, 20-year-old family friend, isn’t as harmless as we all thought. Reportedly, an investigation into the incident and that picture has been launched by the LA Department of Children & Family Services to ensure that Smith is safe. A source tells Radar that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have cooperated with the investigation:
“The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand. Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well. This won’t just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution.”Again, the young man in the photo is 20-year-old former child actor Moises Arias, known for his role as Rico on Hannah Montana. He has run around with Willow and Jaden for years, and was even seen out to dinner with Jaden, 15, and Willow, 13, yesterday. If you’ll recall, when Jada was approached by photogs and asked to comment on the photo situation during the height of its controversy, she had this to say:
“Here’s the deal. There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it. And you’re acting like covert pedophiles, and that’s not cool.”While I personally didn’t feel that strongly about the photo as many others did, if this investigation is indeed underway and Radar’s reports are true, this might be a wake-up call for Will and Jada to pull in the reins on their famous kids. But I’m hoping that they’re not running around with DCFS on their back, because this photo was not that deep.
